Next up we have Marks and Spencer 'The Collection' Mince Pies - the supposedly more refined and luxurious big brother of the regular M&S mince pies.
M&S are our go-to 'safe' mince pie option. You're pretty much guaranteed to get a respectable all-round tasty mince pie to share with guests without someone asking how much they cost you (e.g. Harrods or Fortnum & Mason).
Lets see how these extra luxury mice pies stack up:
Don't let the extra coating of icing sugar disguise it, these taste a little under-baked. The pastry is like eating crumbly dough however, I'm sure a few minutes in the oven will sort that out. As for the mincemeat, there are some nice large currents and raisins but the taste of which is a little lost as its quite a sweet pie. You can taste the brandy as an aftertaste though.
The Mince Pie Administration score - 61 / 100
