Tesco Finest - All Butter Pastry - 6 Deep Filled Mince Pies

I have been reviewing mince pies (on and off lately) for a number of years now. However, nobody has pointed out that I'm missing a Tesco's Finest mince pie review from the leaderboard! Does nobody eat them? Do people think they are not worth eating? Lets find out.

So, the first mince pie of the year. It has been a very late start. If I could say what I've been up to, you'd understand why I've been lacking on the mince pie review front! Lets not waste any more time.

The Mince Pie Administration 2015 - Back and (hopefully) better!

We hope you had a great Christmas and this year has been a prosperous one. It certainly seems like its flown by faster than ever. It only feels like yesterday when I had my last mince pie. Actually, it was yesterday when I had my last mince pie!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Well, what can I say. Its been such a busy few months, that the Administration has had to take a back seat this year. For this I can only apologise.

However, despite the lack of reviews this season, it did not mean that my eyes were not on the mince pies that were available. After my annoyance at Sainsbury's lack of any effort, I noticed they were not alone, there were many other companies that had made no effort. This is very disappointing.

I hope to see some improvement next year, but if not, I may amalgamate previous years mince pies into one overall greatest mince pie leader board, and only review the pies that have changed from previous years. Sound good?

While I cannot crown a winning mince pie for 2014, I wish you all a fantastic Christmas and a very merry New Year.

I hope 2015 brings you even more mince pies and a whole load of new reviews to make up for this year.

Harrods - Walnut and Honey Mince Pies

I was in London yesterday attending a friends birthday celebrations. I don't venture into London very often, so took the opportunity to visit Harrods and pick up some of their mince pies. Now, you will notice that I did not buy last year's winners, the alcohol free cranberry mince pies as they were exactly the same; from box design to ingredients.
